Students will learn the concept of mindfulness as a life skill. They will understand the meaning of mindfulness, the benefits and how it can be used in everyday life. Students will understand the mind/body connection and how mindfulness is helpful to self regulate. They will gain insight into themselves, how they function on a daily basis. Students will practice mindfulness exercises and develop a self-care plan.
Students should bring comfortable clothing, a yoga mat or towel if you have it, and an open mind and heart.
