If you are interested in the medical field, consider getting your State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) credential. Nurse aides provide patient care under the supervision of nursing and medical staff.  You will learn basic patient care with 16-hours completed at a clinical location. After successfully completing the course you will be prepared to take the State Tested Nurse Aide exam. This credential can earn your 12-points towards graduation. This is a prerequisite for Butler Tech's Practical Nursing program (provided through BT's Adult Education division).

In addition to the 13 Fridays of FDE, students registering for this certification will need to attend training on 2/12 & 4/2 (Butler Tech high school students do not have school on these days). Clinical experiences will be required on 4/24 & 5/1.

Transportation will be provided to the LeSourdsville campus on all Fridays of the training. You will need to provide your own transportation for the clinical experiences on the two Saturdays.

Students will need to wear scrubs and have an up-to-date TB-test.

Further details will be shared with students after they register.
