Join us for a field trip to the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton. Students will have time for self-guided exploration in the nation's largest collection of aviation and military equpment and artifacts.
Tentative schedule:
8:00 am - depart DRL
9:00 am - arrival at Air Force Museum
11:45 am - lunch
12:30 pm - depart for DRL
1:30 pm - arrival at DRL
Cost: This opportunity is provided at no cost to all students in attendance.
Lunch: Boxed lunches will be provided for all students in attendance.
Weather: Students should dress appropriately for the forecasted weather conditions.

Included in this trip will be the temporary exbhit, "Iconic Starfighters: Rivals of the Silver Scrreen," which includes full-scale recreations of Star Wars inspired ships.
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — An exciting new display opens today at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The temporary exhibit titled “Iconic Starfighters: Rivals of the Silver Screen” can be viewed in the museum’s fourth building in a special exhibit space.
According to museum staff, the Starfighters features fan-created recreations inspired by the Star Wars franchise. The exhibit will be on display through December 31.
The exhibit is part of a private collection on loan from the Center for Science and Industry (COSI) and is funded by the Air Force Museum Foundation.
The full-scale recreations were created by Firewatch Design Studios and are inspired by the Star Wars franchise.
The exhibit is not endorsed by Disney Enterprises or Lucas Licensing.
