Spooky Lit Lab

Spooky Lit Lab is a two-hour interactive experience where students rotate through Poe-inspired digital breakout rooms and a blackout poetry station. Activities strengthen close reading, inference, and collaboration skills while fostering collective efficacy, time management, and creativity within a fun, seasonal theme.

Enter the Spooky Lit Lab… if you dare! 

For one day only, our classroom will transform into a haunted literature lab filled with mystery, riddles, and creativity. You’ll rotate through three spooky stations, each one designed to challenge your brain and spark your imagination:

• 🕯️ Poe’s Dark Secrets – Step into Edgar Allan Poe’s eerie world and race against the clock to solve his puzzles and escape.

• 🎭 Haunted Stations – Work with your group to unlock clues and tackle creepy challenges hidden at each stop.

• ✒️ Blackout Poetry: Words from the Shadows – Create haunting poems by blacking out words on a page until a chilling new story appears.

⏱️ You’ll spend about 30 minutes at each activity—plenty of time to puzzle, create, and have fun.
