More than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. Another person is added to the waitlist every 8 minutes. 16 people die each day while waiting for an organ transplant. One organ, eye and tissue donor can save and heal more than 75 lives. Do you know how donors are matched to recipients? Do you know all of the different organs and tissues that can be donated? Are you interested in advocating for organ, eye and tissue donation? Come meet students from the ONLY Student Organ Donation Advocates (SODA) chapter in Ohio and learn what they've accomplished and how to start your own chapter at your cmapus! We will also have several different hands-on activities that will help you learn about the matching process.
