Description

Join us for an inspiring and informative class presented by Butler County United Way, designed to help you understand how you can make a meaningful impact in your community through three powerful actions: Give, Advocate, and Volunteer. In these two sessions, we will explore each of these focus areas to better understand how they work together to create positive change and uplift those in need.

Morning Session:

·         Give: Learn about the different ways donated funds can support local causes, from funding important programming to in-kind donations. Understand how charitable giving directly supports programs that provide vital resources and services to individuals and families in Butler County. Get a better understanding of how funding decisions are determined.

·         Advocate: Discover the power of advocacy and how your voice can drive important policy changes that address community challenges. We will explore strategies to raise awareness about social issues and influence decisions that shape the future of Butler County.

Afternoon Session:

·         Volunteer: Find out how giving your time can transform lives and create stronger communities. Whether you're helping at a local food bank, mentoring a student, or supporting a community event, this section will provide you with the tools to make a lasting impact through volunteering.  During this afternoon session, there will be a hands-on, volunteer activity.

By the end of the class, you'll be equipped with a better understanding of the many ways you can contribute to the well-being of your community and be inspired to take action in your own backyard. Together, we can make Butler County a place where everyone thrives.
